Congratulations to Ms. Emily Cornell on being named our STAR 101.5 Teacher of the Week!

On Thursday afternoon, April 29th, STAR 101.5 surprised Saint Cecilia Catholic School's 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Emily Cornell and her class, with news that she was being honored as our STAR 101.5 Teacher of the Week! Ms. Cornell was nominated by her student Zachery and his mom Katie Countryman.

"My son has been in Ms. Cornell's class for 2 years. When they had the Zoom classes I loved listening to her teach the kids - she made everything fun and interesting and gave purpose to why they were learning it," said Katie. "She appears to truly love her students and teaches with much patience and understanding. Sometimes I think that she must be magic, the way she keeps the kids engaged and learning even when it was just through the computer and not in person."

Ms. Cornell received a $101.50 check from STAR 101.5 and the Washington State Potato Commission, and a personalized plaque from Trophies2Go. Each student also received a goody bag full of prizes from STAR 101.5 and the Washington State Potato Commission.
