Congratulations to Lynne Wall on being named our STAR 101.5 Teacher of the Week!

On Tuesday morning, November 16th, STAR 101.5 surprised Jenkins Creek Elementary school's 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Lynne Wall and her classroom, with news that she was being honored as our STAR 101.5 Teacher of the Week! Mrs. Wall was nominated by Brianna Wood and her son Lincoln.

"Mrs. Wall has been an incredible teacher this year as we adjust to life back in person and in the classroom!" said Brianna. "Even though we can’t see her smile behind a mask, her warmth and kindness is felt everyday as students come to school. She is patient, kind, and FUN - three of the best qualities for a first grade teacher to possess!"

Mrs. Wall received a $101.50 check from STAR 101.5 and the Washington State Potato Commission, and a personalized plaque from Trophies2Go. Each student also received a goody bag full of prizes from STAR 101.5 and the Washington State Potato Commission.

"This was our first grader’s first year in public school due to the pandemic and she has made the transition better than we could have dreamed. A classroom where we feel safe to bring him, and that he feels excited and happy to be in, truly is so wonderful in times that have felt uncertain," shared Brianna. "We love and appreciate Mrs. Wall so much, and would love to honor her hard work with a prize that shows her that!
