On Wednesday morning, September 29th, STAR 101.5 surprised Midland Elementary School’s 2nd grade teacher, Mrs.Becky Kristovich and her classroom, with news that she was being honored as our STAR 101.5 Teacher of the Week! Mrs. Kristovich was nominated by Ann Hansen.

"Becky is simply a master teacher. There is no one that gives or cares about her students as much as she does," said Ann. "She also has been the lead teacher for a number of years giving help & guidance to other teachers. As a former teacher of 39 years, I looked to Becky as a master teacher & collaborator."

"This has been an incredibly hard & frustrating year for everyone, but Becky has dealt with not only online teaching in the past year, but the loss of her daughter & father," Ann shared. "She has handled herself with grace & fortitude, never letting her grief get in the way of being the most inspirational teacher."

Mrs. Kristovich received a $101.50 check from STAR 101.5 and the Washington State Potato Commission, and a personalized plaque from Trophies2Go. Each student also received a goody bag full of prizes from STAR 101.5 and the Washington State Potato Commission.
