You, yes you, can help give flight to a child's heartfelt wish.

Thursday, August 5 is the annual Make-A-Wish "Wishes in Flight" effort, which STAR 101.5 is so proud to partner on with KOMO 4 TV, KOMO Newsradio and Seattle Refined.

It's as easy as donating your unused airline miles (and goodness knows after the year we've had - you likely have some stocked up)!

More kids than ever are waiting for their wishes, and we need your help! Right now, about 600 children are waiting for their wishes, in part due to delays and postponements caused by COVID-19.

Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington estimates we need about 18.5 million miles to send eligible wish kids on their wish trips beginning as soon as mid-September. How quickly we can grant future wishes depends upon your generosity. Donate today—it’s a great way to ensure your miles never expire and go to good use!

It's easy! To donate miles or money during the Wishes in Flight Mileage Drive:

  1. Online: CLICK HERE
  2. Call (only on August 5th from 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.): 206 588-8958
  3. Don't have miles but still want to help? Donate cash online HERE.

You can donate miles from Alaska Airlines, Delta and United - and American and JetBlue miles can also be donated online.

Tune in to KOMO 4 and STAR 101.5 all day on August 5 to see and hear inspiring stories! Wishes can help children battling critical illnesses see the impossible as possible. Every donation is important!

Over the years we have helped Make-A-Wish raise more than 111 million miles thanks to our viewers like you. Let's keep that energy going!
