The beloved funnyman died at his home in Marin County, Calif., last week, and on Sunday, his life was celebrated with a service at Glide Memorial Church.
According to his death certificate, obtained by TMZ.com, Williams, 63, was cremated and his ashes were scattered in San Francisco Bay.
The certificate does not list a cause of death, as the results of toxicology tests will not be available for a few weeks. Officers said earlier that Williams tried to cut his wrist and hanged himself with a belt in a bedroom of his home.
His wife, Susan Schneider, said Williams was in the early stages of Parkinson's disease and had been struggling with depression and anxiety.
