(WENN) - Taylor Swift has shattered the record for the highest-grossing U.S. tour since 1990.

The singer's "Reputation" Stadium Tour grossed a massive $266.1 million and sold over two million tickets in North America toppling the Rolling Stones' $245 million gross from their "A Bigger Bang" Tour over a decade ago - and she did it in impressive fashion.

The Stones set the record with 70 North American shows, while Swift grabbed it from them in just 38, according to Billboard Boxscore experts, who began tracking touring data 28 years ago.

Prior to the latest tally, which was announced Friday (Nov. 30), Swift had already broken her own record for the highest-grossing domestic tour by a woman, thanks to a string of sell-outs between May and October (18).

Her biggest success on the "Reputation" Stadium Tour came in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where she performed three nights at the Metlife Stadium in July, grossing $22 million and selling over 165,500 tickets.

According to Billboard Boxscore, Taylor has now grossed $687.7 million in the U.S. alone since her first major tour in 2009 and 2010 - that's $140 million more than country superstar Kenny Chesney raked in over the same time frame, while rockers U2 have hauled in $470.1 million and Luke Bryan $350.8 million over the past decade.
