Ben Affleck is reportedly "dating someone" and "ready to move on" following his failed marriage to Jennifer Garner.
The Hollywood couple announced its split in June 2015, but had not filed court papers to legally put an end to the marriage, prompting speculation the actors were headed for a reconciliation.
However, those rumors were laid to rest when "Argo" star Affleck and Garner both filed petitions on Thursday pro per, meaning they put forth the documents without a lawyer.
It has been claimed that while the pair did attempt to fix their relationship, they have now decided it is well and truly over, with both now looking to move on with their lives.
TMZ.com reports that Affleck has already dipped his toe back into the world of dating and is seeing someone new, although "not seriously."
He has reportedly moved out of the guest house at the family home and is now looking for a new property, with an insider stating "he's ready to move on" following the divorce filing.
Despite their marriage approaching its official end, Garner and Affleck appear to be on amicable terms, especially considering they are parents to three young children - Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5, who they took to an Easter church service together over the weekend.
The former couple asked for joint legal and physical custody of the children, but it is thought the rest of their divorce will be more complicated. As they did not have a prenuptial agreement in place before tying the knot in 2005, they will have to work out how to divide all the property, art and various other assets they accrued during their 10-year marriage.
According to TMZ.com, it's going to take a minimum of six months before the divorce can be finalized, although it's likely to take longer because of the amount of property the Hollywood actors own.
