WASHINGTON (SBG) — Have you parted ways with your Netflix account? Are you in an open relationship with other streaming services? Have you ghosted it?

If you don't act soon, the subscription service may be the one giving you the old, "It's not you, it's me" line.

The company said it will start asking its inactive users if they want to keep their membership. If they don't respond, or say they don't want it, Netflix will automatically cancel their service.

Inactive accounts represent less than half of 1% of their overall member base, but the streaming service said this is an effort to prevent people from paying for something they're not using.

If you're one of those inactive members, expect an email or in-app notification starting this week.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Netflix is coming off of one its strongest quarters ever. Its subscriber base surged as people were forced to stay home "and chill."
