Disney+ releases 'Onward' less than a month after it hit theaters

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (KUTV) – Streaming service Disney+ Friday debuted its animated hit "Onward" -- less than a month after it was released in theaters.

It's because the coronavirus has taken people out of movie theaters and shuttered businesses around the country.

Disney+ last month announced it was releasing "Frozen 2" three months early also because of the coronavirus.
